Brian grew up with an obsession for fast cars.  His father is a skilled mechanic, welder and machinist who passed along his skills during several automotive restoration projects.  Brian got his first car (with more than a little help from Dad) at the age of fourteen.  It was a rare ’68 Camaro SS/RS 396 that they restored together.  He entered the Automotive program at Mentor High School where he excelled, winning the Ohio State Championship in the Dealer’s Association Troubleshooting Contest and then going on to finish seventh in the national competition.  During, and then for a few years after high school, he worked as a technician at various GM and Honda dealerships, but he knew he wanted to take his skills further.  So he entered The Lincoln Electric Motorsport Welding School and became skilled in all forms of welding, TIG in particular.  From there he went The University of Northwestern Ohio where he studied high performance engine machining and chassis fabrication.  He graduated with an Associate Degree in Applied Science for High Performance Automotive.  That degree got him a job as an Instructor at Ohio Technical College.  He was promised a state-of-the-art race shop at his disposal, but the school was on hard financial times and the race shop never happened.  Instead, he was recruited into the BMW STEP program that was also being taught there.  He went through BMW’s most complete factory training program and then went on to teach BMW’s dealership technicians.  Brian enjoyed teaching, but the salary was low and he knew he could do better as a technician.  So he relocated to Atlanta where he went to work at Global Imports BMW.  For six years he was one of Global’s top technicians, before he left to open his own shop in Woodstock…
